TSB Bank

Brilliant. They couldn't be more helpful. From Steve, the Manager, to the Counter People I felt they really valued me as a customer. Having just dealt with other financial companies I was frazzled, irate & just fed up from their unhelpful archaic methods. Then I go into the Morden branch of TSB, 60 London Rd, and my goodness what a difference. The manager came out from his office, saw there was a short queue, introduced himself apologised for the wait and offered to assist anyone who wasn't withdrawing funds. Offered tea/coffee & hey presto! queue cleared in short order. Then when my turn came the young lady again apologised for the wait and then dealt with all my requirements cheerfully & professionally. So a big thumbs up from me. This is how customers should be welcomed.

Dental Surgeries

Minty Pearls Dental Clinic

1490-1492 London Rd, Streatham, London SW16 4BT, UK – 020 8764 7888

Broadway Dental Centre

96 Tooting High St, London SW17 0RR, UK – 020 8672 9600

Highly recommended I visited this dental clinic for the first time on the 27th June, after many years of delaying a trip to the dentist due to bad experiences elsewhere, I have to say this practice has effortlessly and successfully restored my confidence in going to the dentist again. Despite the reception area being fairly busy, they were very efficient and polite and I was seen promptly for my appointment. The dentist was very thorough and informative and more importantly the dentist was empathetic and understanding with my anxiety explaining every step of the procedure to me every step of the way. I also had 2 more apts after the check up where I had a filling close to my nerve which was straight forward and painless. I will be moving my whole family across to here :)

Broadway Dental Centre is professional, clean and friendly. Even my boyfriend who hates the dentist thought so! Would recommend to anyone looking for a new dentist.

Streatham Common Dental Surgery

202 Eardley Rd, Streatham, London SW16 5TF, UK – 020 8764 4368

Absolutely Fabulous! I love coming here! No, that was not a typo and yes, I am intentionally reviewing a Dental Surgery ;-) I have been coming here for nearly 5 years now and am soon to move out of the Streatham Common area, however I shall not be changing dentists. This is a lovely family run surgery wit a pro-active approach to treating their patients. I am always greeted with a smile and when I have needed treatment have been advised on a range of care helping me choose the best 'root' for me. You can tell this surgery actually cares about it's patients as advise and education on oral care (and in my case *better* oral care) are as much part of the service as the check-up itself. I have had a range of treatments here including fillings, root canals and extractions. All of which have been carried out with the upmost professionalism and care and as a result were all far less daunting than they sound. I cannot recommend this surgery enough. This really is the 'crown' of Dental Surgeries, a shining example of how visiting the dentist should be. I have always left with a smile, all be it sometimes a numb one.

Great clinic. I called for an emergency filling 1 hour before their closing time, they were kind and accepted me. The dentist was very kind, quick and efficient. She explained what she was doing throughout the whole process and answered all my questions. I highly recommend this surgery.

Trevelyan House Surgery

Trevelyan House, 160 Tooting High St, Tooting, London SW17 0RT, UK – 020 3883 5700

This is an amazing surgery with amazing staff both in reception and the clinician. They all do the best they can with what is made available to them. due to there amazing service, patient have become more demanding and rude and expect what ever they want to be done straight away. the reception are so friendly and helpful and work to the best of there capability with what is made available to them by there seniors. what patient need to realize is the reception are only capable of certain things with out having to go to a doctor. doctors are normally busy as-well so it wont be possible to immediately sort a query, especially in a surgery of this size.

I have had the same doctor for 17 years, he is excellent, unfortunately since the practice expanded I usually get given any available doctors for regular medication reviews even when I ask for mine I'm told that for routine appointments any doctor or pharmacist is appropriate(all seem perfectly good doctors) but this lack of continuity has caused problems. Reception service is hit and miss depending on who is on duty and what pressures they are under generally- just like any other business. I think they do the best they can given the growing pressures on the NHS generally. If at all possible see your own doctor for all appointments and make routine appointments well in advance of when they are due.

The Greyswood Practice

66 Eastwood St, London SW16 6PX, UK – 020 8769 0845

This is the best practice I’ve ever been registered at. Once you have an appointment (which can be a bit of hassle as it’s phone only from 8am for same day bookings - with most gone by 8.15) - all of the staff are friendly and helpful. They have had a fair bit of rotation of GPs and Locums the last year, but it’s settled down again now. Appointments run pretty much on time and they are very accommodating. - especially good with children.

Hackbridge Medical Centre

138 London Rd, Wallington SM6 7HF, UK – 020 8647 3711

The reception staff are extremely friendly, helpful and always going the extra mile. Appointments are generally readily available on the same day. The doctors are also great. I'd definitely recommend!

Got an appointment at short notice after being turned away by my dentist. Had an abscess and really needed the antibiotics before the weekend and it got worse. Friendly, helpful and not so busy.

NHS Direct is now NHS 24. Just dial 111 to speak to a professional or click the link below for there self help website. Lots of really useful info but keep clear of heart surgery! If in doubt ask your GP or call 111. Good luck.

St George's Hospital

Blackshaw Rd, London SW17 0QT, UK – 020 8672 1255

I can't thank this hospital enough. I was having investigations for abdominal pain with a possibility of pancreatic cancer. I had an MRI scan where a wonderful person spotted a shadow on my lung. I was then referred to a wonderful team led by Paul Vaughan who successfully removed a tumour and a lobe of my right lung. because my cancer was identified so early I didn't need chemo or other treatment. I can't thank the hospital enough for what they did for me.

A world class hospital in the field of heart surgery and its aftercare The staff could not have been kinder in treating my partner and that of my dearest friend in their hours of need letting me stay or visit at all hours Now it is my turn, a new chapter is opening and I know that I have the joys of new beginnings ahead A BIG thank you to all the staff on James Hope Ward for taking good care of me.

Quite a big room which can be adapted to suit your needs. I attended a Slimming World meeting here on Saturday morning. Not sure who else uses it other than the church itself - especially on Sunday for kiddies Sunday School. It can be quite chilly in winter but beautifully cool in summer

Very good church. Very welcoming, formal but the balance of informal to make it easier to approach staff and feel a part of the congregation. In breed of desperate needs .to fix the main church but God is by our side

great place to recycle your metal. great team.

Give and get free stuff. Here you will find lots of items that people are willing to give away, for FREE! This is instead of taking them to a local landfill site. The aim of this site is to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill (20.9 million tonnes of it last year in the UK) and recycling is great news for the environment.
We all know that we need to recycle more - and this is a great way of doing it.

The Plough Harvester

Staff are very welcoming. The food are nicely cooked. Wonderful ambiance. They don't demand service charge. Good for family dinner.

I went there for a networking meeting. The place is big and definitely family friendly. In the morning they have a self service breakfast, that will be replaced by the salad table at lunch. I had breakfast and the choices were good,.with bread, croissants and spreads but also fruit and yogurt. I would recommend it if you were in the area.

Pizza Express Valley Park

Been to this Pizza Express twice now. And it's the best Pizxa Express I've been to. Their Bruschetta Originale is always perfect (not too much onion like most places) and they are always generous with the cheese and toppings in their pizza. Good service each time too. Well worth a visit.

Great food & staff , best fresh pizza iv had in a while. both my kids and wife enjoyed our meals.

Public & Preparatory Schools

The London Acorn School

Morden Hall Rd, London SM4 5JD, UK – 020 8544 9769

My daughter has been attending the kindergarten for a year. The level of accommodation and dedication we have received is amazing. My daughter settled quickly (this is her first daycare experience) and has a great connection with her teachers. For me it was important that the school activities are age appropriate and that the child's emotional well-being is prioritised. I also felt spending time outdoors was important, as well as the respectful attitude towards children and letting them grow at their own pace when they are still so young. It's a lovely and close knitted parent community and our family has come to cherish this school.

We joined the school to attend the parent and toddler group when my son was just over 1. He’s now turning 3 and will be progressing to the school’s kindergarten (something we hadn’t considered prior to joining the school) in, January. I absolutely LOVE the school’s approach towards ‘education’ - I say ‘education’ because it’s a lot more than that. Every experience or interaction with a child is thought out, taking in to consideration the child’s physical needs, emotional needs, social needs and so on. I myself am very intuitive and have a holistic parenting approach which made me consider homeschooling as, I didn’t think I’d be able to find a school that actually understood children in their entirety. I was wrong though and I ended up finding an environment richer than the one I’d be able to provide my child with at home. I have learned lots over these past 2 years from my interactions with other parents and teachers at the school and I look forward to learning more over the years. I must add that, the staff at the London Acorn School are, extremely knowledgable and dedicated and Janice (the parent and toddler group leader) is a parenting GURU! I wish this school immense success (for selfish reasons of course)!

Date Valley School

Cricket Green, Mitcham CR4 4LB, UK – 020 8648 4647

Ma sha Allah a wonderful school. My daughter has been attending for 4 yrs now and we've never had any problems. Thank you date valley for giving my child the best start in life.

My 6 year old daughter goes to this school and now my 3 year old. I can say Date Valley is such a lovely school. It may not have the biggest p.e hall, biggest playground etc. But one thing it does have is 100% care and love. When I leave my 2 children I always walk away feeling safe and happy as they are in the hands of the best staff I've come across. I can say I have meet all teachers and always thought they are excellent with parents and children with activities and learning. I actually panic for secondary school time because I wish Date Valley has a secondary school for our children to go forward to. All Date Valley staff work to the fullest so keep on continuing what your doing.
