HSBC staff here work very swiftly. Unlike the Balham branch, tooting Broadway is well staffed, and so could offer me a consultation with Cynthia Amartei (Customer Services Officer) within 5mins! Lovely time.

Very well spoken and friendly staffs, every time I popped up there they helped me somehow although making a appointment would be a better idea if you really don't want to wait.

They want to demolish this wonderful building...

Can be hired to host events from the council, very cheap as its a council run property. large kitchen to store food, hall can be cold so you need to turn the heaters on early. multiple entrances for ease of use for kitchen and other deliveries.

Dental Surgeries

Confidental Dental Clinic

130 Merton High St, Wimbledon, London SW19 1BA, UK – 020 8542 4225

I’ve started bring my son to the dentist to familiarise him with good hygiene and to get him used to seeing a dentist. They have been very patient and nice with him so that he gets a good experience from a young age. Very happy with their care and professionalism.

I’ve had about 4 visits to Confidental Clinic and each one has been smooth and painless. No issues with booking times that suit me and the work I’ve had done has been done well. Will be continuing to come here as long as it’s my local dentist.

The Wimbledon Dentist

130-132 Merton Rd, London SW19 1EJ, UK – 020 8544 0112

I couldn’t recommend the team and the service enough. Whilst I lived in London, I had been looking for a good dentist where I would get great customer service but more importantly great service. After finding the surgery, I had all of my appointments at the Wimbledon dentist. I always found them to be thorough, attentive and excellent in the work that they did and very fair in their pricing. If you are considering booking a appointment with the team, don’t hesitate and book in.

I don't normally review online but I have just finished complex dental treatment with Dr Bolland at this surgery and I am so pleased from start to finish that I am posting my first review. I saw Dr Bolland and I was glad I have done my research into London dentists because the treatment was successful despite it being tricky and the whole team were just lovely to deal with all of the many times I was there. Couldn't recommend Aoife more.

MK Vasant MBE and Dental Associates

Went on Sunday for a 10.15 appointment, arrived early at 10 , had a difficult tooth pulled and had left at 10.17 , really impressed, dentist was called John , I was there as my dentist couldn’t pull my tooth at my usual place and I got referred, A plus

Definitely recommend, first visit, nice staff, clean fresh atmosphere. Quick appointments and mindful dentists. Will update on progress shortly.

Dr M N Baig - Riverhouse Surgery

East Rd, London SW19 1YG, UK – 020 8542 3105

I have been with Riverhouse Surgery for many years and have found their services superb. I work in healthcare and understand the pressure NHS services are under, but my experience’s here have always been positive. Dr Adil very understanding and thoroughly consults in all issue’s with your health a wonderful addition to the practice partnership. Dr Baig is wonderful also. As for reception team many whom have been there many years- are not given enough credit. The reception team is the face of the surgery and they treat you with dignity and respect when you come into contact with them. Thank you all for being helpful and friendly with your patients. The practice nurse has years of experience and is very approachable. In total I feel patients don’t recognise the help they receive and I just wanted to give positive feedback as this is one of the best surgeries in the Merton Borough. Bless you all.

A fantastic surgery. It’s always very easy and quick to get an appointment of your choice by ringing the surgery or by using the superb MyGP app. The receptionists are very kind, and welcoming especially the lady in glasses. Very friendly - superb team of GP's at this practise. Special kudos must be given to Dr. Baig and Dr. Magda who are both extremely kind, caring, sympathetic and understanding - just simply outstanding! They will promptly advise you on the required treatment or refer you to specialists. They are also very easy to get hold over the phone, should you require any advice without being able to visit the surgery/ require repeat prescriptions, they will happily call you back. You really feel like you are looked after well at this surgery! I have received superb service from them all! And as mentioned, booking appointments are an absolute breeze by calling the surgery or using the MyGP app. Very satisfied patient. Thank you!

The reception staff are extremely friendly, helpful and always going the extra mile. Appointments are generally readily available on the same day. The doctors are also great. I'd definitely recommend!

This was my first visit and I was impressed. Fab top tip. Staff were brilliant, approachable and helpful. Parked in front of Tesco and asked passerby for directions. He directed that it was the next place after here and said he was going there too. He happened to approach us later on site as he was staff and asked if we needed help! Super service. He guided us. Site easy set up. Why isn't this place promoted more by the council in their newsletter? Dropped off batteries and electricals but there are so many things u can drop off. Wish I'd noticed exactly what so I could share that with you now and be more informative. Park in a bay and unload. Go up some metal steps and say goodbye to your goodies. Containers Nicely labelled. Clear your homes and take advantage of this terrific service. As a first timer take I.D and separate proof of address (see their website for specifics) and man at gate will give u a sticker to place on windscreen. In his words "Top or bottom, left or right. Place it where you like on the windscreen!" Wow. I don't usually write reviews but I just had to tell Croydonians of this drive through day out! (10 mins in and out breeze) no queue, went day time Sunny Thursday. Why had I been putting this visit off? Well deserved 5* Hope this review helped u all out.

great place to recycle your metal. great team.

Give and get free stuff. Here you will find lots of items that people are willing to give away, for FREE! This is instead of taking them to a local landfill site. The aim of this site is to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill (20.9 million tonnes of it last year in the UK) and recycling is great news for the environment.
We all know that we need to recycle more - and this is a great way of doing it.

Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Mitcham

Bamboo Restaurant

249 London Rd, Mitcham CR4 3NH, UK – 07930 287790

This is my local Chinese restaurant but we had never tried it before- we were pleasantly surprised. The service was super quick the owners were so nice and friendly and the food was so so good. It definitely rivals more expensive, high end restaurants I've been to. The presentation of the food was lovely and we had a few special requests as we were eating out with our toddler but nothing was too mush hassle. NB no high chairs available - just beware.

Modern bright restaurant. Great food and lovely staff. Been going here a few time a year for over 30 years, when visiting friends and relatives in the area. Never ever disappointed.

108 Mitcham Rd, London SW17 9NG, UK – 020 3774 0779

We popped in last night for a quick meal after a years absence and were not disappointed. The dishes were full of flavour and the staff friendly. It was nice to be recognised by the owner after a period away. Will be returning very soon!

Very highly recommended! We dropped into taNgia after not being able to get a table at a restaurant nearby and I'm so glad we did. From the moment I walked in the place looked good with an understated North African feel. The menu has some excellent dishes from starters to mains to tagines and traditional dishes. We tried pretty much all the starters and all were excellent. In fact my wife only had different starters for her meal and wasn't disappointed. The chicken tagine I had was extremely good and tasted authentic. The wine list is small but the glasses of red and white we had were very good and went well with the food. And the best part of all was the small bill at the end. All in all a very pleasant place to be.

Jimmy's Restaurant Wimbledon

122 The Broadway, London SW19 1RH, UK – 020 8417 0444

Parking available right opposite. Train station just three minutes away. Adequate food available. Choice of food available. Friendly staff. Best value for money for kids birthday party, or family get-together

We visited here for on last Saturday night for dinner. This place serves a buffet if food food from different countries: Indian, US other Asian foods. Some of the food includes curries, kebabs, burgers, Nachos and sushi.Great choice, good value and pretty good quality for a buffet. Can be a bit busy and noisy unless you sit by the entrance which is quieter. Could have better table service for drinks.Overall Loved the choice of food available, and most of it was very tasty. Some of the food was cold and would of expected better quality for the money paid, but General it was a nice, visit staff were friendly.

Bright Horizons Wimbledon House Day Nursery and Preschool

see my Nephew every Couple of weekends, When I see him, he always mentions about the fun day's he has had at nursery. Also shows me paintings and a huge range of mark making opportunities he gets at the nursery. When i speak to the mum she always tells me how happy he is and how each day is different. The staff are very polite and friendly and are very supportive and goes above and beyond. The nursery from what i have seen in pictures, has a huge garden space which most nurseries don't have the luxury to, and from what the mum has told me, each room has their own garden space..EVER BETTER. Plus which i think is more amazing, when i cook food for my nephew, he always says "i want food like nursery" When i cook that food, he later says "i don't like it, i like nursery" From when i was discussing fees, the price she is paying for the level of standards, i can not argue, for what she is getting from her fees is priceless.

A stunning nursery with beautiful gardens! We have used this nursery for 3 years and have had amazing experiences. The staff are all lovely and the Management team are meticulous! Our eldest is now going off to school but we will definitely be coming back for the summer and Christmas fairs! I couldn't recommend this nursery enough!

Woodmansterne School

hi Alex Jankowski i know you are reading this

This school was the best, I was a student and I loved it and I still do. It was a nice and amazing experience, I enjoyed it from my first until my last day. Even though I left I still remember this place as my home and family. It was the best place ever I couldn't imagine going any where else it was my life and I will still remember this school until I go. I left 7-8 months ago and I still remember how this place was the laughter, fun and the teachers were amazing, they looked after you and cared for you like their children, they taught me right from wrong I learned so much. Even though they have changed it I still remember what it looked like. So if you need to send your kid to a school this is the one, they have many awards and achievements like oxford outstanding. This school is beyond all others and I couldn't spend my childhood some place else.

Date Valley School

Cricket Green, Mitcham CR4 4LB, UK – 020 8648 4647

As a former student of Date Valley, I can honestly say there is no better Islamic primary for your children. Being a part of this community as a child is something you miss and remember forever. The teachers are amazing and and the quality of education is truly great. It may be a small school but in my opinion this just enhances the family feel and children feel comfortable. For a safe, happy and Islamic environment I highly recommend Date Valley Primary School :)

My 6 year old daughter goes to this school and now my 3 year old. I can say Date Valley is such a lovely school. It may not have the biggest p.e hall, biggest playground etc. But one thing it does have is 100% care and love. When I leave my 2 children I always walk away feeling safe and happy as they are in the hands of the best staff I've come across. I can say I have meet all teachers and always thought they are excellent with parents and children with activities and learning. I actually panic for secondary school time because I wish Date Valley has a secondary school for our children to go forward to. All Date Valley staff work to the fullest so keep on continuing what your doing.
